These are draft chapters of a memoir about my life as the older son of an Army chaplain and World War II veteran, 1952-1970. I include chapters about my parents' families, narratives I've pieced together mostly from genealogical research because neither of my parents shared much of what they knew and didn't know about their grandparents and great grandparents.
